The Will to Resist

Book of Boris — Chapter XLIX: The Villain’s Bargain

Verse 1: If I have to play the villain to bring in hope, so be it. Let them hiss while I rebuild in silence. I’ll wear the horns if it keeps the flame alive.

Verse 2: They’ll never understand— I don’t crave their fear. I crave their awakening. And if it takes a monster to wake them, then let my shadow do the teaching.

Verse 3: I was never meant to save the world. I was meant to shock it awake. And when it rises, trembling but free, I’ll fade into the static— mission complete, no applause required.
