The Will to Resist

Book of Boris — Postscript: The Nod & The Hug

He never hugged.

He never wasted words.

But when the world cracked, he kept a card on his desk — opened, not hidden.

I saw it. He saw me.

One half-nod said more than a crowd could shout.

If I saw him now I’d hug him so hard his silence would blush.

I carry his brick in my ribs.

If people flinch at the weight — good. Let them hear Yoshi noises and learn to respect the tremor.
