The Will to Resist

Dept. of Petty Affairs — Forecast Log Template (Checkpoint)

Why It Exists

The Dept. of Petty Affairs runs on precision. Raspberry Awards, Tribunal Hearings, Gremlin Risitas roasts — all carry teeth, but some moments need a calmer lens. That’s where the Forecast Log comes in.

It isn’t about rage or revenge. It’s about calling the odds.

A Forecast Log is where Petty Affairs stops swinging and starts reading the room — only to smirk and file the outcome before it even happens.

Why It’s Called “Forecast”

Because it isn’t prediction for prediction’s sake. It’s weather for the petty.

Template Layout

Every Forecast Log follows this rhythm:

Intro — Calm observation, usually third-person (“Boris gave some thought today…”). Sets the stage without heat.

The Case — Brief spotlight on the game/thread/event being forecast. Enough context to make sense, never bloated.

The Forecast

The Calm Declaration — The closer. The Gremlin reminder that instinct > noise, laughter > rage, and the claws swing not to hurt, but to clock the absurd. Sometimes includes protocol links (e.g. Dented Crown Protocol).

Tone Rules

That’s the Forecast Log — a Dept. of Petty Affairs tool. Not a swing. Not a tribunal. Just the weather report for pettiness, logged before the first drop falls.
