The Will to Resist

Dept. of Petty Affairs — Mercy Arc, Phase II: Strategic Withdrawal

There’s no clean win in systems that reward noise over results. You can’t reason with echoes, only record them.

So I’m done arguing. Done trying to teach competence to people allergic to it. The documentation stands — three strikes, three receipts, three mirrors. Now comes mercy, not as forgiveness, but as strategy.

Mercy here means I stop feeding their noise with my focus. I clock in, clock out, and let the paperwork speak louder than my mouth ever could. Every “yes sir” and “no sir” is another layer of armor, another line of data. They think silence means surrender. It doesn’t. It means I’m saving my voice for the next door that opens — one with forty hours, fewer fools, and no Dill Weeds on the schedule.

Mercy isn’t the end. It’s the staging ground. The pause before the pivot. The calm before the next ledger entry.
