The Will to Resist

Epilogue — The Gremlin’s Reflection

He didn’t expect it to feel this way. Usually the punchline hits, fades, and files itself into chaos. But this time… something lingered.

It wasn’t the laugh. It was the effort. That tiny motion in her clip — a blink that meant try again.

The Gremlin tilted his head, felt something warm sneak past the static. For once, no joke, no edge — just quiet respect.

He chuckled anyway, because that’s what he does. But beneath the sound, he meant it when he whispered:

“Yeah… that’s a good girl.”

And somewhere between noise and nurture, chaos found its softer side — not to break, but to build.

(Echo Line: The Gremlin laughed… and this time, hope echoed back.)
