The Will to Resist

Final Payment Pending

I don’t ask for applause.

I don’t expect thanks.

But don’t confuse silence for absence.

That’s not suppression.

That’s record-keeping.

I’ve carried more than most people know.

Fire, weight, expectation, disappointment.

Overtime hours. Undertime credit.

I never asked to be worshipped.

I just expected respect.

Didn’t get it?

Cool.

I kept moving.

I kept stacking.

But I also kept receipts.

“I don’t mind the fire. I just log every moment I stood in it.”

And one day—when the balance hits critical?

When the wrong one steps out of pocket?

“I’m going to end it. And maybe with a golf club lodged in your arse.”

This isn’t vengeance.

It’s audit season.
