The Will to Resist

Gremlin Resitas — “The Saturday DLC”

So I open my email.

It says: Welcome aboard. Training Monday through Friday. 8 to 5. Room 226. Bring your smile.

Cool. Structured. Clean. Adult.

Then another email slithers in like it was hiding behind the first one.

“Oh by the way.”

Saturday.

9 to 5.

Thank you for your cooperation.

COOPERATION???

Oh you mean the cooperation where I restructure my entire week like a Tetris board on hard mode while you casually patch in a weekend update like it’s DLC content?

This wasn’t in the base game.

This was surprise downloadable compliance.

Now listen.

Am I going to show up? Yes.

Am I going to pass the training? Absolutely.

Am I going to be professional? Without question.

But inside?

Inside the gremlin is doing laps.

Because this isn’t about the Saturday.

It’s about the way institutions send: “Oops.” With a signature block.

It’s about the calm, sterile tone of: “First notice.”

First notice?

My brother in bureaucracy, you just spawned a whole extra day.

This is R.A.B.B.

Not because it’s illegal. Not because it’s malicious.

But because it’s friction disguised as normal.

You don’t drop surprise Saturdays on structured people and expect zero internal growl.

But here’s the punchline:

I adjusted.

Didn’t snap. Didn’t rant in the inbox. Didn’t go nuclear.

Just updated the calendar and moved on.

That’s the difference between chaos and control.

The gremlin growls.

The man executes.

See you Saturday.
