Gremlin Risitas — Muted Ad, Unbothered
Ad starts playing.
Gremlin:
“Oh boy. Is it my turn to be emotionally manipulated?”
- mutes tab
- goes to pee
- comes back
Ad Voice (still yelling):
“—AND THAT’S WHY YOU NEED TO CARE VERY DEEPLY ABOUT THIS—”
Gremlin:
“Buddy, I don’t even care about socks matching.”
Thirty seconds has passed.
Gremlin didn’t:
- comment
- like
- subscribe
- argue
- correct misinformation
- “well actually” anyone
Gremlin just let the meter run.
Ad finishes.
Gremlin clicks Skip like it owes him money.
Somewhere, a creator is furious:
“WHY WON’T THEY ENGAGE??”
Gremlin, already gone:
“Skill issue.”
They wanted outrage. They got ad revenue.
They wanted validation. They got silence.
They wanted the bag passed. Gremlin kept both hands in his hoodie and walked.
- Monetization without validation.
- Chaos without participation.
Gremlin doesn’t fight the system.
Gremlin sidesteps, chuckles, and lets it trip over itself.
- chewing stolen snacks
- unbothered
- unpressed
