😈🎨 Gremlin Risitas Presents...
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33½ — THE PAINTRESS IS MAD AS HELL
(A legally distinct parody, your honor. Allegedly.)
Based on: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Developed by: The Gremlin (Unsupervised, caffeinated, petty)
Premise (No Subtlety Whatsoever)
Once upon a time, the world was painted in sorrow, memory, and loss.
Then the Paintress found the texts.
Now every year she repaints reality—not to preserve the past—but to RUIN HIS DAY.
Plot Summary (Gremlin Cut)
The Paintress discovers her husband:
- cheated
- gaslit
- said “it didn’t mean anything” (it meant EVERYTHING)
Instead of couples therapy, she:
- repaints the world
- deletes his favorite city
- turns his side piece into a tutorial boss
Expeditions are no longer heroic. They are petty recon missions into her emotional crash-out.
Gameplay Changes (Critical Improvements)
🎨 Painting System
Each repaint is a mood swing
Color palettes include:
- Muted Grief Gray
- Vindictive Red
- “Oh You Thought I Forgot?” Purple
The counter doesn’t represent years anymore. It represents how many lies she remembers today.
🧑🤝🧑 Party Members
- Half your party is imaginary.
- The other half are people who told her “just move on.”
- All of them are wrong.
One companion literally says:
“Maybe hear him out?”
They are removed from the game in Act II.
🗺️ World Design
Looks open.
Still a corridor.
Every side path leads to:
- screenshots
- receipts
- a memory labeled “Exhibit A.”
Fast travel disabled out of spite.
The Husband (Final Boss)
Name: Chadrenoir
Role: “I was unhappy too” guy
Boss mechanics:
- Dodges accountability
- Summons crocodile tears
- Phase 2 begins when he says “you’re overreacting”
Defeated not by violence, but by:
- forcing him to read the timeline
- in chronological order
- out loud
Instant KO.
Ending Variants
Ending A — “Girlboss Reset”
She repaints the world again. This time with her name signed. Credits roll over passive-aggressive watercolor.
Ending B — “Therapy DLC”
Costs $29.99. No one buys it.
Ending C — “Petty Ascension” (True Ending)
She stops repainting. Deletes him from the canvas. World finally stabilizes.
Achievement unlocked: 🏆 “Closure Is Optional”
Gremlin Review Score:
10/10 — Would repaint reality again
Sometimes the world isn’t broken. Sometimes it’s just built by a man who needed to be muted.
