The Will to Resist

Gremlin Risitas v4.1 — The Infinite Timer Clause (Ghosts n' Goblins Playthru)

You ever accidentally trigger: two Satans, one Red Arremer, and one unemployed skeleton at the exact same time…

…and instead of fear?

Your brain goes: “Oh buddy. Now we can dance.”

Because the REAL enemy in Ghosts ’n Goblins was never Satan.

It was the timer.

The moment the timer disappears, the whole emotional economy of the game collapses.

Suddenly Arthur stops running around like an underpaid medieval intern and transforms into a feral OSHA violation with a lance.

Two Satans swooping from opposite sides of the screen like angry tax collectors from Hell itself.

Red Arremer flying around at Mach Divorce.

One random skeleton who spawned into the fight like:

“Brother I was supposed to be in Stage 2.”

Meanwhile Arthur "The Gremlin" is constantly rewinding reality itself frame by frame like some temporal raccoon warlock:

“No no no… that jump was spiritually incorrect. Run it back.”

The funniest part?

After enough rewinds… I ACTUALLY KILLED ALL OF THEM.

Not cleanly. Not honorably. Not with dignity.

But legally?

The payroll was cleared.

And somewhere in the distance, the Capcom devs from 1985 collectively rose from their graves whispering:

“Dear God… the goblin learned the patterns.”
