"Sometimes you have to find yourself first before you actually see yourself."

People always say,

"Find yourself."

Like you're a missing wallet wedged between the couch cushions.

Truth is...

Most people don't know what they're looking for.

They stare into mirrors hoping the reflection will answer back.

It won't.

Mirrors only tell you where you've been.

The road tells you where you're going.

Take a wrong turn.

Play a game you never thought you'd enjoy.

Read a book outside your comfort zone.

Talk to someone whose life makes no sense to you.

Build something.

Break something.

Fail spectacularly.

Get curious.

Because every step you take leaves footprints.

Eventually you'll look behind you and realize those footprints all point in one direction.

Yours.

I watched someone dive headfirst into Warhammer.

Could've said,

"Man... I miss the old stuff."

And maybe I do.

But then I watched someone grinning ear to ear while speaking filthy, glorious Ork for an entire video.

That's when it clicked.

Maybe they weren't leaving something behind.

Maybe they finally arrived.

Sometimes you don't find yourself by searching for yourself.

You find yourself because something grabs you by the collar and says,

"Oi, git. Dis way."

And before you know it...

You're home.

That's the funny part about purpose.

It rarely introduces itself.

It disguises itself as curiosity.

As hobbies.

As rabbit holes.

As the one thing everyone else thinks is weird but you can't stop thinking about.

People call those distractions.

I call them breadcrumbs.

So don't panic if you don't know who you are today.

Walk.

Explore.

Get lost on purpose once in a while.

One day you'll stop, look around, and laugh.

Not because you found yourself...

...but because you finally realized you've been becoming yourself the whole time.

That's not destiny.

That's momentum.

Keep walking, choom.

Archivist's Note

A YouTube video about an Ork Warboss became something far more interesting than lore.

It became a reminder that identity isn't uncovered in one grand revelation—it is assembled through thousands of ordinary decisions, curiosities, failures, and detours.

Sometimes we mistake a new passion for abandoning the old.

Sometimes it's simply the place where we finally fit.

The map is drawn after the journey.

Never before.
