The Will to Resist

Jerry’s Marginalia ・Jujutsu Kaizen Trivia #002

The Ladder Was Built Crooked

Momo wasn’t wrong.

But she wasn’t the target either.

The problem isn’t the girl defending her friend. The problem is the structure that required defending in the first place.

The Zen’in clan doesn’t measure character. It measures technique.

It doesn’t reward effort. It rewards inheritance.

And when a system ties value to bloodline and power output, the people born without both become liabilities.

Especially women.

Not because they lack strength — but because the system pre-decided what strength looks like.

That’s not tradition.

That’s filtration.

When a hierarchy only recognizes inherited dominance, it calls exclusion “order.”

Momo saw the bruise.

Nobara rejected the framing.

But neither of them poured the concrete.

The ladder was built crooked.

Climbing it doesn’t fix it.

It just proves you survived it.
