Jerry’s Marginalia — “Noise Isn’t Truth, It’s Leash Work”
Let’s stop pretending to be polite.
Most of the noise you hear in the world right now isn’t passion. It isn’t righteousness. It sure as hell isn’t wisdom.
It’s control theater.
People scream loudest not when they’re confident in their beliefs, but when they’re terrified that silence will expose how shallow those beliefs really are.
So they:
- scream instead of think
- bully instead of reason
- moralize instead of introspect
- cosplay “righteousness” while feeding on chaos like oxygen
Noise becomes a leash. Whoever yells the longest gets to tug it.
That’s why entire societies are arguing about nonsense instead of fixing anything:
- Manufactured outrage is easier than accountability.
- Emotional manipulation is easier than compassion.
- Distraction is easier than facing systems that are bleeding through the drywall.
If you keep people fighting over crumbs, they’ll never notice who owns the bakery.
This isn’t intelligence. It’s cowardice wearing a megaphone.
They weaponize morality only when it’s convenient. They “protect children” only when it benefits their side. They “care about life” right up until it requires providing healthcare, food, safety, or empathy. They “care about freedom” right up until someone uses it to live differently than them.
It’s not about truth. It’s about control. It’s about comfort. It’s about power… disguised as virtue so they can sleep at night.
And yeah — you’re tired because you see it. You’re not confused. You’re not unstable. You’re simply refusing to participate in the circus and clap for clowns pretending to be shepherds.
Auntie Medea voice: “Say what you mean, baby. Don’t sugarcoat foolishness.”
So here it is clean:
Some of us are done bowing to noise. Done taking outrage seriously just because it’s loud. Done pretending every loud opinion deserves respect.
If what you’re shouting isn’t rooted in empathy, accountability, reality, or protection of actual human beings?
Then congratulations.
You are not a guardian of morality.
You are just noise with wifi.
And some of us ain’t listening anymore.
