The Will to Resist

Jerry’s Marginalia — The April 22 Doctrine

Training department calls.

“Why are you behind?”

Behind what?

Dashboard says:

Today is February 12.

Next due date?

April 22, 2026.

That’s not behind. That’s two months early.

This wasn’t a performance issue. This was a calendar issue.

Somewhere, a report was generated without a human eyeball attached to it.

Somewhere, a pacing alert blinked red on a spreadsheet that doesn’t understand time-gated modules or CEU caps.

So a call was made.

Not malicious.

Just… unverified.

The lesson here isn’t anger.

It’s this:

Dates don’t argue.

When in doubt, read the column.

If the due date is in April And it is February Then the only thing “behind” is the review process.

No explosion. No drama. No sideways energy.

Just:

“All current courses show a due date of April 22, 2026, and none are marked late.”
