Jerry’s Marginalia — “The Buffer Clause”
There’s a reason I leave early.
Not because I’m afraid of being late— but because systems lie.
Buses stall. Timetables hallucinate. Reality improvises.
So I add margin.
Three hours isn’t panic. It’s insulation.
It turns delays into background noise and stress into trivia.
If the bus behaves? I arrive calm.
If it doesn’t? I still arrive.
That’s not anxiety. That’s logistics with self-respect.
Doctrine: Never schedule your peace on a system you don’t control.
