Jerry's Marginalia — The Exit Interview (TADC)
Most people imagine the villain speech begins with:
"I hate you."
Or:
"I will destroy you."
But veteran researchers have observed a far more dangerous phrase:
"After everything I've done for you."
💀
This sentence appears harmless.
It often begins life as disappointment.
Then frustration.
Then resentment.
Eventually it evolves into:
"You owe me."
Which is usually where the trouble starts.
Archivist's Note:
The Ringmaster did not become dangerous when he gained power.
He became dangerous when he started keeping score.
