Jerry’s Marginalia — “The Gravity Clause”
Most people think strength is collision. Louder voice. Harder swing. Final word.
But real control is knowing when impact is unnecessary.
The calm man isn’t harmless. He’s selective.
He understands that some people are already standing on collapsing ground. You don’t have to push them. Gravity has excellent follow-through.
So let them “win.”
Let them carry the noise home. Let them replay the argument in the shower. Let them wrestle the version of themselves they keep trying to hand to other people.
Meanwhile you?
Clock out. Eat your food. Pet the dog. Sleep clean.
Peace is not surrender. It is refusing to become residency staff for somebody else’s chaos.

Doctrine: Don’t bark. Let gravity finish the paperwork.
