The Will to Resist

Jerry’s Marginalia — The Lewis Threshold

There are two ways to survive monotony.

One:

You escape completely and disappear into a world that replaces reality.

The other:

You build a second layer on top of reality and operate both at the same time.

Lewis Finch fell into the first.

The second is where control lives.

You don’t abandon the room. You overlay it.

You work. You observe. You think. You build.

Same body. Different bandwidth.

Because the goal isn’t to leave the system.

It’s to move through it without letting it drain you.

— Don’t escape. Overlay.
