Sometimes a character isn’t written to feel. They’re written to function.

And when that happens, the audience supplies the feelings anyway — not because the story asked for it, but because we need the shape to make sense.

That doesn’t make the reading wrong. It just means the emotion belongs to us, not the text.

Kit exists to serve Surge’s arc. Everything else is reflection in the glass.

And it’s okay to enjoy the reflection without pretending it’s canon.
