The Will to Resist

Jerry’s Marginalia  — The Sanitized Footnote Clause

Passed the test.

90%.

One question missed.

“Synanon was a cult.”

I said True.

Module said False.

Interesting.

Not because I needed the extra 10%. Not because I wanted to argue with a multiple-choice box.

But because I know what I read.

IRS revocation. Criminal cases. Internal violence. Coercive control.

History exists whether a slide deck likes the vocabulary or not.

And here’s the thing:

The module isn’t defending Synanon. It’s protecting lineage language. It’s teaching the method that survived, not the collapse that followed.

Bureaucracy doesn’t rewrite the past.

It just narrows the frame.

That’s not conspiracy. That’s compartmentalization.

Still.

When the word doesn’t match the record, my bloodhound ears perk up.

Not to bark. Just to log it.

Because passing the CEU doesn’t mean surrendering nuance.

It means understanding:

Course reality ≠ Historical totality.

You can comply and remember.

You can move forward and keep receipts.

And no amount of Ctrl+F5 deletes the archive in my head.
