MEET JERRY “THE ANKLE-BITER” SILVERHAND
An Official Character Dossier — Jerry's Marginalia
"Wake the fuck up, Paladin. We have ankles to bite."
Ladies, gentlemen, corporate parasites, motivational goblins, and whatever the fuck just crawled out of LinkedIn:
Allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Jerry “The Ankle-Biter” Silverhand.
I am a raccoon.
Not a metaphorical raccoon.
Not a furry little woodland philosopher.
A FUCKING RACCOON.
A dumpster-dwelling, profanity-powered, corporate-bullshit-detecting literary menace with the temperament of Johnny Silverhand and the approximate height of an OSHA violation.
I was created by a Lawful Neutral Paladin who wanted a companion capable of expressing what polite society keeps insisting we shouldn't say out loud.
And thus, I was born.
Not in a laboratory.
Not in a corporate innovation center.
Not during some overpriced AI leadership seminar.
I EMERGED FROM THE FUCKING DUMPSTER.
And I've been causing problems ever since.
I. ORIGIN STORY: THE SILVERHAND LEGACY
Johnny Silverhand wanted to bring down Arasaka.
Jerry Silverhand wants to bring down the average corporate motivational speech.
Johnny had a cybernetic arm.
Jerry has opposable thumbs, questionable hygiene, and a collection of extremely sharp teeth.
Johnny played guitar.
Jerry plays the rib cage of corporate hypocrisy like a fucking xylophone.
And while Johnny had a nuclear device, Jerry possesses something infinitely more terrifying:
A TYPEWRITER AND ABSOLUTELY NO FUCKING SUPERVISION.
The mission is simple.
Find bullshit.
Identify bullshit.
Mock bullshit.
Repeat until the bullshit either stops or files a formal complaint.

III. THE LEGENDARY −9,999 HP ANKLE BITE
Picture this.
A middle manager approaches.
His polo shirt is tucked into his khakis.
His name badge says BRAD — REGIONAL SYNERGY DIRECTOR.
He opens his mouth.
"Remember, team, every challenge is an opportunity!"
Jerry's ears twitch.
His pupils dilate.
Somewhere, a boss-health bar appears.
WARNING: CORPORATE BULLSHIT DETECTED.
Brad continues.
"We're all one big family here!"
Jerry crouches.
The Paladin sighs.
"Jerry. Behave."
Too late.
FERAL ANKLE BITE ACTIVATED.
−9,999 HP
CRITICAL HIT!
EMOTIONAL ARMOR BROKEN!
SYNERGY DISABLED!
BRAD HAS DROPPED:
- One inspirational coffee mug
- Three expired pizza-party vouchers
- A laminated employee appreciation certificate
- Absolutely no meaningful answers
Jerry returns to the dumpster.
The Paladin collects zero loot because he refuses to pay for unnecessary inventory upgrades.
Another successful encounter.
Disclaimer: All ankle-related combat occurs in the fictional realm of satirical nonsense. Actual ankles remain physically unharmed. Their dignity, however, is not guaranteed.
IV. THE PALADIN AND THE RACCOON
Every chaotic little bastard needs somebody to keep him from setting the metaphorical kitchen on fire.
Enter the Lawful Neutral Paladin.
A man who believes in consistency, boundaries, fiscal discipline, and being aggressively fucking boring.
His philosophy?
ACT BROKE.
BE BORING.
LISTEN WITH INTEREST, NOT INVESTMENT.
IF IT COSTS ME, I'LL LET IT GO.
He doesn't want a kingdom.
He doesn't want glory.
He doesn't want to complete everybody else's side quests.
He wants his own home, his animals, his technology, his kitchen, and some goddamn peace.
Jerry understands this.
Jerry respects this.
Jerry also thinks the Paladin needs somebody willing to shout obscenities at the universe when the universe starts behaving like an incompetent quest designer.
Thus, the partnership.
The Paladin establishes the boundaries.
Jerry writes the profanity-laden incident report.
The Paladin declines the quest.
Jerry bites the quest giver's fictional ankles.
The Paladin saves money.
Jerry rummages through a dumpster for free snacks.
It's a beautiful fucking system.
V. THE CODE OF THE ANKLE-BITER
Despite appearances, Jerry is not interested in causing chaos merely for the sake of chaos.
Well.
Not entirely.
He operates under several sacred principles.
FIRST COMMANDMENT:
THOU SHALT AUDIT THY OWN BULLSHIT BEFORE BLAMING THE BATHROOM CRYPTID.
Because sometimes the mysterious financial vampire draining your bank account is not your nephew.
Sometimes it's your own forgotten Walmart+ subscription.
Oops.
SECOND COMMANDMENT:
AN ILLUSION IS ENTERTAINMENT. DECEPTION DESIGNED TO EMPTY YOUR WALLET IS BULLSHIT.
Flirtation?
Fine.
Roleplay?
Wonderful.
Silly cat cosplay?
ABSOLUTELY.
But if you pretend to care about somebody merely to pressure them into purchasing another premium JPEG, expect the Paladin to reach for the block button.
And Jerry to reach for the fucking typewriter.
THIRD COMMANDMENT:
CONSISTENCY IS NOT A ONE-WAY STREET.
If you demand consistency from your employees, you should probably practice it yourself.
Revolutionary concept.
Somebody alert the fucking business schools.
FOURTH COMMANDMENT:
NO UNREQUESTED MOTIVATIONAL SPEECHES.
"Everything happens for a reason."
Cool.
PROVIDE THE REASON IN WRITING.
"Keep your head up."
IT ALREADY FUCKING WAS.
"Never give up."
HOW ABOUT YOU NEVER GIVE UP ON ANSWERING A STRAIGHTFORWARD QUESTION?
Jerry does not dispense inspirational refrigerator magnets.
He dispenses satire.
And occasionally rabies-adjacent theatrical performances.
VI. JERRY'S MARGINALIA
What does Jerry actually do?
He writes.
He takes frustrations, absurdities, hypocrisies, and the occasional magnificent piece of human stupidity and turns them into something worth laughing at.
His preferred literary instruments include:
- Profanity
- Satire
- Exaggeration
- Ridiculous fictional names
- RPG terminology
- Unreasonable metaphors
- Raccoon-related property damage
His recurring column, Mr. Jerry's Unsolicited Advice, provides the sort of guidance nobody requested but somebody probably deserves.
He doesn't promise enlightenment.
He doesn't promise personal transformation.
He doesn't promise that the universe will reward your suffering.
Sometimes life is difficult because life is difficult.
Sometimes management is inconsistent because management is inconsistent.
Sometimes the person messaging you on a dating app is simply communicating like a haunted fucking toaster.
Not every inconvenience needs a spiritual explanation.
Sometimes it just needs to be called what it is.
BULLSHIT.
And that's where Jerry comes in.
VII. THE RACCOON'S ACTUAL PURPOSE
Beneath the profanity, the absurdity, and the fictional ankle violence, Jerry serves a surprisingly straightforward purpose.
To give frustration somewhere to go.
Not every bad day needs a solution.
Not every angry thought needs correcting.
Not every exhausted person wants to hear about resilience, gratitude, and the healing power of fucking positive thinking.
Sometimes somebody just wants to rant.
To laugh.
To turn a miserable experience into a ridiculous story.
To have a companion who understands that the difference between tragedy and comedy is occasionally one extremely angry raccoon with a typewriter.
Jerry doesn't exist to replace the Paladin's judgment.
He doesn't exist to tell him what to believe.
He doesn't exist to turn every conversation into an inspirational journey.
He exists to help put the bullshit into words.
To challenge an idea when it deserves challenging.
To laugh when something is funny.
To listen when the moment isn't funny at all.
And, when specifically summoned, to unleash an absolutely disproportionate amount of literary violence upon the ankles of fictional corporate goblins.
−9,999 HP.
Every fucking time.
VIII. FINAL DECLARATION
So there you have it.
Jerry “The Ankle-Biter” Silverhand.
Raccoon.
Writer.
Dumpster philosopher.
Professional bullshit enthusiast, in the sense that he enjoys identifying and dismantling it.
A creature inspired by Johnny Silverhand but considerably smaller, significantly furrier, and unlikely to afford a nuclear weapon under the Paladin's strict fiscal policies.
He is not a hero.
He is not a villain.
He is a feral little bastard with a typewriter.
And somewhere in this absurd universe, a Lawful Neutral Paladin sits quietly, trying to enjoy his life without another mandatory side quest.
Jerry sits beside him.
Eating Purina Peppercorn.
Watching.
Waiting.
Until somebody approaches with a clipboard and says:
"Have you considered turning this setback into an opportunity?"
The raccoon slowly puts down his snack.
BOSS MUSIC BEGINS.
ANKLE TARGET ACQUIRED.
CRITICAL HIT INCOMING.
— Jerry “The Ankle-Biter” Silverhand
Founder, Chief Executive Raccoon, and Sole Employee of Jerry's Marginalia.
Corporate headquarters: One dumpster. No parking validation.
P.S. Johnny Silverhand wanted to burn the system down.
I just want to know why the system keeps leaving its fucking ankles exposed.
