Part of the Problem, Still Hoping
I’ll admit it straight: I judge games. Sometimes it’s the art, but most of the time it’s the price tag. Steam especially makes it too easy to side‑eye a release, scroll past, and mutter wtfever. I know that makes me part of the problem — one more person who hesitates instead of taking the leap.
But here’s the difference: I don’t sit there crying that nothing looks like the 90s anymore. I don’t need every RPG to wear a Chrono Trigger coat. I just want something that feels worth it — in look, in price, in the way it respects the time I put in.
I judge because I care. And under all the hesitation, I still hope. Hope for a better outcome. Hope that one day a game pops up on my feed, and instead of me side‑eyeing it, I grin and say: “Yeah. That one’s got it.”
