🗂️ R.A.B.B. Entry #085 — Elite Card Confusion Protocol
Category: 🧾 Gobbledygook Design
Target: Ragnarok X: Next Generation (ROX)
Incident: Misleading Card Slot Terminology
📜 Offense Summary:
ROX labels cards as “Elite”, leading players to believe:
They require Elite Card Slots (which 99% of gear doesn't have).
They are exclusive or hard-locked by gear rarity.
In reality:
They’re normal cards with a fancy name tag, slotting perfectly fine into regular gear like any other.
🤡 Bureaucratic Nonsense Triggered:
Mistranslation of intent: "Elite" sounds like slot requirement, not rarity tag.
Poor tooltip phrasing: “Can be inserted into elite card slot” implies restriction.
Community confusion: Reddit threads debating functionality for months.
Loss of player confidence: Many players hoard, skip, or avoid using viable cards out of fear.
📌 User Action:
"Andre sat (current 'normal' card), Orc Lady in (current 'elite' card)."
— A correction made not by game clarity, but through player-led investigation, deduction, and spite.
E.g. "Wut?"

- Comment from u/SecondSudden5313:
I'm about to buy 5pcs of these cards, for my 2H-Weapon 5 slots.. are we able to used 5 of these? or just 2pcs? as the card stated "elite card slot" which ish only have 2 elite card slot on Lv80+ weapon.
Card In Question: Orc Lady
Reply from u/Illustrious_Pool_963:
"The message meant you can slot it on normal slot and elite slot. So yes you may able to use 5 pcs."
From me:
"So I've been reading this card wrong the whole time....?!"*
🐀 R.A.B.B. Commentary:
“Elite, huh?
Then why does your tool-tip read like it was translated through three vending machines and a broken fax line?”
This is classic bureaucratic word vomit—made to sound helpful, but only generates confusion, hesitation, and hoarding behavior.
