anon: so why do you keep playing the fool?
joker: because the fool gets to tell the truth! everybody else bows, nods, hides behind politeness. me? i drop a “mrrrow” and suddenly the room shows its real face. if you flinch at a joke, it wasn’t a joke that hurt you — it was the mirror.
anon: and when they call you weird?
joker: oh, i am weird. gloriously weird. because “normal” is just another leash. normal says don’t laugh too loud, don’t love too much, don’t show your claws unless the king says so. me? i juggle the claws, i light the match, i laugh anyway.
anon: so what do you lose in the end?
joker: nothing worth keeping. anyone who can’t hold my spark without crying “blasphemy” was never built for the fire show. so i smile, i bow, i walk off stage — and the silence that follows? that’s the encore.
