The Will to Resist

🎥 TRAILER: “THE SHAPE AND THE SHADOW — HALLOWEEN AT DERRY”

(A Dept. of Petty Affairs horror crossover event)

[FADE IN — BLACK SCREEN] Faint laughter echoes like a broken calliope. A red balloon drifts into frame, tied to a butcher knife.

NARRATOR (deep, vintage voiceover):

“This Halloween… the fog rolls in from Derry.”

[FLASH CUT — children’s drawings on cracked pavement: balloons, knives, a white mask.]

NARRATOR:

“One feeds on fear…” (Pennywise grins — teeth unfold like razors. His eyes flick yellow.) “…the other has none to give.” (Myers steps out of the mist — silent, steady, breathing like thunder.)

[CARNIVAL LIGHTS flicker — the “IT” logo glitching into a jack-o’-lantern.]

PENNYWISE (mocking whisper):

“Why won’t you scream…?”

[Beat of silence.] MYERS BREATHES.

NARRATOR (rising dread):

“The clown that laughs… meets the shape that doesn’t.”

[Rapid montage:]

NARRATOR (final line):

“Fear has met its match.”

[TITLE CARD — BLOOD-RED FONT]: 🎃 THE SHAPE AND THE SHADOW: HALLOWEEN AT DERRY 🎈

[FADE OUT — sound of a single breath… then Pennywise giggles one last time.]

Jerry flicks the projector off, smoke curling in the silence.

“Thirty seconds. Maximum dread. Minimal sound. They’ll come for the clown — but stay for the silence.”
